Uber is introducing festive-themed bus charters, complete with dazzling lights, photo opportunities, and karaoke for holiday celebrations.

The holiday season is now in full swing, and Uber is adding a festive touch to its services with the introduction of holiday-themed bus charters. These charters come complete with twinkling lights, photo props, karaoke, and more, offering a unique and joyful experience for riders.

Uber’s “festive fleet” of charter buses will be available to lucky customers who book an Uber Charter between December 11 and 17. Each bus has the capacity to accommodate up to 27 riders, providing a fun and festive way to celebrate the holiday season with friends, family, or colleagues.

The holiday-themed charters will be randomly available in five major cities: New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. For customers outside these cities, Uber is offering a 10% discount on any Uber Charter booking made through December 17 using the promo code “FESTIVE10.”

The cost of an Uber Charter trip may vary based on factors such as the date, location, itinerary, and more. As a reference point, an average four-hour trip in Los Angeles on a larger bus typically ranges between $1,000 and $1,500, according to information provided by the company.

Sean Pritchard, the operations lead for Uber Charter, emphasized the spirit of togetherness during the holiday season, stating, “It’s always better to go together — especially during the holidays.”

In addition to the festive charters, Uber is introducing a new feature to simplify holiday shopping – the Store Pickup feature via Uber Connect. This option allows customers to purchase items from local stores, upload the receipt, and arrange for a courier to pick up and deliver the items, providing a convenient solution for holiday gift shopping.

To further assist customers in finding the perfect gifts, Uber is collaborating with celebrities like Luann de Lesseps from The Real Housewives and actor Christopher Briney. Users can explore celebrity-curated collections or discover tried-and-true favorites, such as flowers, in the Gift Hub within the Uber Eats app.

Lexi Levin Mitchel, a spokesperson for Uber, highlighted that these new features aim to help users “go anywhere, get anything, and celebrate with loved ones this season.”

Uber’s initiative to bring a festive flair to its services reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing the overall experience for its customers during the holiday season. The holiday-themed charters and convenient shopping features provide users with unique and enjoyable ways to celebrate, connect, and spread joy during this special time of the year.
