Ancient Hindu artifacts, such as a Vishnu idol and a Shivling, have been recovered from the riverbed of the Krishna River in Raichur, near the border of Telangana and Karnataka. The discovery was made during recent bridge construction activities on the riverbed, sparking speculation that the artifacts could be more than 1,000 years old.
Now in possession of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), these artifacts carry significant historical and religious importance. Particularly noteworthy is the Vishnu idol, which bears a resemblance to the revered Ram Lalla statue installed at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Standing with an aura depicting the ten avatars, this idol adds to the region’s rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions.
