It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of a distinguished and respected figure in the travel industry, Kalaimamani V. K. T. Balan, Chairman of M/s. Madura Travels, Chennai. On the fateful day of November 11, 2024, he left this world for eternity, leaving behind a profound legacy and an indelible mark on the travel community of Tamil Nadu.
Born on January 26, 1954, Kalaimamani V. K. T. Balan lived a life marked by simplicity and humility. Known for his signature attire of a Kadhar Dhoti, shirt, and Hawai slippers, he always adorned his forehead with sandalwood paste (Sandanam) and Kungumam, a reflection of his deeply rooted cultural and spiritual values. He was a devoted husband to Ms. Susheela and a loving father to his son, Mr. Srihari Balan, and daughter, Ms. Saranya.
With over 35 years of extensive experience in the travel industry, Kalaimamani V. K. T. Balan played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of many aspiring young professionals. His guidance and mentorship helped countless individuals establish successful travel businesses. As an active and dedicated member of numerous travel agent associations, he made significant contributions to the development and growth of the travel industry in Tamil Nadu.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his family during this immensely difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies and pray for strength and perseverance for his loved ones as they navigate the pain of this irreplaceable loss.
